For the week ahead…

3/11/18

In a few short hours, the weekend will be over and it’s back to the grind Monday morning.

I’ve had so much fun posting this week and the responses are absolutely overwhelming! Thank you sooo much!

Seeing as how this was my relaunch week, my goal was to post everyday although some of you may have realized I did not post on Thursday. Just wanted to take a few minutes to go over how this is going to work moving forward.

First off, I will not post a recipe every day. I would absolutely love to keep em coming every day. I love finding new recipes and giving them a try although, like most people out there, I do my grocery shopping once a week. So when I find a new recipe I usually write down what I’ll need and add it to my list so I can make it the following week. This is the reasoning for not posting every day – it gives everyone time to look over recipes, compile shopping lists and make their plans for weekly dinners.

Secondly, in regards to Thursday posts, I will only post on the last Thursday of the month. This post will be mostly in response to messages, comments, questions, suggestions, etc… for the month. I will also walk through some “how to’s” that are frequently asked.

Third, I love baking but I unfortunately do not eat many sweets nor do I tend to keep any in my house due to personal health preferences. Sunday’s are reserved for desserts. I will post 2 dessert recipes per month, possibly 3 depending on how the schedule goes. We’ll start off simple and work up to more complex recipes. When you cook, you can generally add and subtract ingredients to your dish to cater it to your preference. When baking, exact measurements and ingredients are a must and nothing can be added or subtracted unless using a suitable substitute. After all, cooking is an art & baking is a science 🤓

Fourth and final point, there IS a theme for each day of the week (if you haven’t caught on by now). As previously stated, I will not post every day throughout the week so expect 3 – 4 posts per week. I’ve listed the order below with a brief description of what to expect on each respective day below.

As always, I am open to suggestions for future recipes so shoot me a message or comment. Also, follow me on Instagram at @dinner_thyme_blog for sneak peaks for future recipes or shopping tips.

Monday – Meatless Monday – Recipes will loosely follow a vegetarian and/or vegan theme focusing on dairy free and gluten free ingredients.

Tuesday – Tasty Tuesday – Recipes will focus on lighter yet high protein & filling meals. Expect a lot of seafood & chicken meals on these days.

Wednesday – Hump Day! – Recipes will be easy 1 pan dishes such as casseroles or hearty soups. Basically something you can throw together quickly with minimal effort & ingredients…comfort food at its finest!

Thursday – Thursday Thoughts – This post will only be on the last Thursday of the month mostly focusing on general Q&A, how to’s and notes from the editor.

Friday – Frivolous Friday – Recipes will consist of higher cut meats to treat yourself in celebration of the impending weekend.

Saturday – Meal Prep – Each recipe will prep you for upcoming recipes for the following weeks to come. Expect a lot of crock pot use. Stock up on those liners!!

Sunday – Sweet Tooth Sunday – Dessert recipes will be posted 2 or 3 Sunday’s per month starting small & simple and working up to more complex recipes.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more delicious recipes!

XOXO – A
